The Canada-Saskatchewan Integrated Student Loans Program is delivered jointly by the Governments of Canada and Saskatchewan and provides financial assistance to help you pay for your post-secondary education.  It is important to remember that a student loan is intended to supplement and not replace the financial contribution expected from you and your family.

Changes to the student financial assistance program are making post-secondary education more affordable for low and middle-income students, providing more non-repayable assistance and affordable repayment options.

The Student Loan Handbook contains valuable information about the student loan program including who is eligible to receive assistance, how much assistance you can receive and how to start repaying your student loan.

Please read the handbook carefully before applying.

Important Information – New in 2012-13

Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA)

If you are eligible to receive student loans, you will receive a MSFAA along with your assessment results.  An information page that describes the steps to get your money will also be included in your package.

By signing the MSFAA, you agree to accept responsibility for all funding you receive from that date forward, so you will not have to sign another agreement for future loan assistance.

Visit CanLearn.ca to view a copy of the Terms and Conditions in English and French.

Confirmation of Enrolment

Most schools will now confirm your enrolment automatically. The National Student Loan Service Centre will contact your school directly to confirm your enrolment once you have signed and submitted a completed MSFAA.
