Our Policy and Program Support Branch provides our Immigration Services Division with research, and helps to develop and evaluate policies and programs. We build working partnerships with other provincial Ministries, manages federal-provincial government relations, and the Ministry’s international relations. We also:
- Develop strategic plans, annual Ministry reports, statistical reports, and other reports as needed for the Immigration Division.
- Lead federal-provincial-territorial relations on immigration planning and programming.

Support the Minister, Deputy Minister, and Assistant Deputy Minister in intergovernmental forums.

Support inter-ministry initiatives like the Inter-Ministerial Forum on Immigration.

Negotiate intergovernmental and international agreements.

Provide research and analysis to support the development of immigration policy and programming.
