The Program Innovation Branch is responsible for the development and implementation of quality training and employment programs to respond to the basic education, work experience and skill training needs of Saskatchewan adult learners, including employers and workers.

ABE - Learning for Life

Adult Basic Education (ABE) is an umbrella term that refers to a wide range of services, credit, and non-credit programs designed to help adult learners achieve their goals.

General Educational Development (GED)
The GED® tests offer adults who have not completed high school the opportunity to obtain the equivalent of a Grade 12 standing.  The Grade 12 equivalency is a recognized credential that can lead to employment opportunities, career advancement and further education.
Recognizing Prior Learning

Recognizing Prior Learning (RPL) is a broad umbrella concept which values all learning that people have gained in their lives.

Skills Training

The Ministry provides funding under the Skills Training Allocation to the public training institutions to deliver training programs that address the needs of Saskatchewan business and industry for skilled workers in the areas of greatest labour market demand.

Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW)

The Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration is working in partnership with the Federal government to deliver a multi-year initiative to help older workers be reintegrated into the workforce.

Workplace Essential Skills Saskatchewan

The Workplace Essential Skills Saskatchewan Initiative supports business and industry to train low-skilled job seekers and existing low-skilled employees in the workplace to gain the workplace essential skills needed for long-term employment and/or advancement.
