The Labour Market Saskatchewan Wage SurveySaskatchewan 2011 Wage Survey Insightrix Research Inc. was contracted to undertake a provincial wage survey of employers in Saskatchewan in 2011. Results from the survey provide wage information on 324 occupations in the province. The 2011 survey collected wage information from 1,461 employers, representing over 113,000 employees in the province. Wage Survey Results The results are available in the Saskatchewan Wage Survey Report 2011 that provides occupational wage information that is searchable alphabetically by occupational title and by Statistics Canada 2006 National Occupational Classification (NOC) code (see Related Documents). Wage information is based on reported hourly wage rates, excluding bonuses, vacation pay, tips, overtime, shift differentials, retroactive payments, and any other special payments. Occupational wage data is also provided on a regional basis for the City of Regina, City of Saskatoon, the Regina and Saskatoon Census Metropolitan Areas (CMAs), and the rest of the province outside of the two major cities and CMAs. Wage Survey Methodology The methodology used to conduct the 2011 Saskatchewan Wage Survey of employers is described in the Saskatchewan Wage Survey Methodology Report 2011 (see Related Documents). Previous Provincial Wage Surveys A similar wage survey was undertaken in 2009 that provided wage information on 244 common occupations in the province (see Saskatchewan Wage Survey Archive). The 2009 Saskatchewan Wage Survey collected wage information from 1,100 employers, representing nearly 90,000 employees in the province. Occupational wage data was provided on a regional basis for the City of Regina, City of Saskatoon, and the rest of the province outside of the two major cities. A similar methodology was used to undertake the 2009 wage survey.
