Programs & Services Targeted Initiative for Older Workers (TIOW)![]() The Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Immigration and the federal government currently have a three year agreement for this initiative. The current project will end on March 31, 2012. This initiative recognizes Saskatchewan's strong economic climate and will continue to enable TIOW projects to assist older workers participate in the labour market.
In 2011-12 nine TIOW projects will be delivered throughout the province. Contact information for the service providers who will be delivering the projects for this year is provided below. Please contact the nearest service provider in your area for start dates, locations and further details of each of the projects.
As well older workers looking for career and job search assistance and training related information, either in a location or when an older worker project is not being offered, you may want to contact the local Can-Sask Career and Employment Services office since they are able to provide an array of programs and services to job seekers. Their services include a resource centre that has materials such as calendars and brochures from post-secondary institutions, internet links to other career and employment websites, information on training and income support programs and career planning, and resume writing. Can-Sask Career and Employment Services staff can also provide information on the types of employment opportunities available and help you with the development of your resume. They can also assist with posting your resume on SaskJobs.ca.
